Meis Port, the island’s main port, stands out with its colorful houses and picturesque appearance.
The sea here looks crystal clear. Along the harbor, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine. While you are here, taking long walks along the waterfront and soaking in the view is highly recommended.
As you approach the port, you will see the Knights’ Castle built on the hill to the left. It was constructed in the 14th century, on the site of an even older fortress. A steep walk leads up to the castle, and a vertical iron ladder mounted on the wall takes you to the top.
At the summit, little remains besides the stone ruins of the castle, but the view is truly impressive.
